There is something intangibly motivating when learning with personalized pencils.  I still recall receiving a gift of a dozen personalized pencils when I was a young child.  My sisters and I loved them passionately because it was clear who the pencils belonged to.  No fighting broke out.  And while my dozen had many pencil colors, I remember saving the Lavender pencil for last, though Red is my favorite color.
